Helping Children Shine in Every Class
Sonshine Academy is an activity and performing arts center that provides instruction to children (and those that are young at heart) in:
An awesome combination of obstacle course training, ninja skills, gymnastics, and tumbling.
In addition, we offer birthday parties, group events, after-school care, camps, summer day camps, and much more.
Our Mission
Our mission for Sonshine Academy, since 1991, has always been to provide quality instruction in gymnastics, dance, cheer, and related activities in a fun, safe, and wholesome environment.
We believe children can experience their “specialness” and their “uniqueness” as a priceless creation of God through learning athletic and artistic skills in a positive, encouraging environment. We strive to develop and inspire character qualities such as respect, hard work, confidence, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. In short, our goal is to cooperate with parents to develop their child’s “ability to shine.”
The foundation for our motivation and our name are intertwined. We spell “Sonshine” with an “o” because we desire to glorify and thank God by naming this business in honor of His son, Jesus. The name “Sonshine Academy” links this desire with His command to “let your light shine before men so that they may see goodness in your acts and give praise to your heavenly Father“ (Mt. 5:16).
Our Policies
We believe that we offer the finest children’s programming and facilities in Central Arkansas. That is why we are happy to offer the following guarantee: If, after your child’s first month of classes, you are not satisfied for any reason, we will cheerfully refund 100% of your tuition for the entire first month.
When you enroll more than one immediate family member at the same time, only the most expensive tuition in your family pays full fare; all lesser tuitions are discounted by $5.
Tuition is due on or before the 23rd of each month and goes toward the next month. You may pay your tuition online in your Customer Portal.
You must pay tuition by the 23rd to continue taking classes the following month. If you fail to pay tuition by then (and we have not received word that the student is dropping the class), there will be a $7 billing fee on the account.
A full month of tuition is due, even on months with holidays. There are no tuition transfers from one month to the next, no refunds, credits, or reductions for missed classes.
Just like college, your tuition pays for a class spot, regardless of attendance. However, as a courtesy, Sonshine Academy offers make-up classes. If you wish to make up a class, check your Customer Portal for availability or call our office to schedule the class, day, and time.
